Well, lief has been crazy and hectic and not at all conductive to taking care of myself. My now ex-roommate left me with no notice, deciding to drop everything and go to Europe for seeming no reason other than she could. Romantic, yes. Foolish and extremely aggravating as well. My life has been off track since then, and yesterday I decided, yet again, that I was sick of it.
I bought the Zombies, Run! Couch to 5k app a while ago, and finally used it today. I went a lot further and faster than I thought I would be able to, which was great. Unfortunately, even with my better level of fitness thank to working retail every day, my circulatory system just couldn’t handle the sudden increase and I started itching so bad I thought I was going to pull my legs off for relief! I did make it 1.3 miles or so in about 16 minutes, so I still felt damn good.
I made myself tons of checklists and whatnot. One is a giant one for exercise and skincare, and another is a book to act as a food journal/weight tracker.
I’m back up to 182lbs today, but I am hoping that by the 1st of May I can be down at least 5lbs. Maybe more since I plan on running every morning now.
At any rate, I plan on updating, hopefully, daily. Food pictures if I can remember them, exercise goals, weight check ins, and those will have pictures for sure haha. I should probably do one today, while I’m thinking about it.
Anyway, off I go!
So I had to wear my belt that wide less than a month ago. Went from 38 to a 33-34 @_@
Retail work has been doing me wonders once more it seems >.>
I just wanted to make this to show people that what they may think is effective for weight loss actually isn’t. The first picture was taken after a week or so of heavy restricting and binging. The second picture was taken after a week of healthy eating & exercise.
Start treating your body with love. Nourish yourself and you’ll see results. I promise.
HEY. SEE WHAT IT SAYS AT THE TOP? SAME. WEIGHT. Scale means nothing. Point and case.
You have no idea how much this post just encouraged me. I’ve been the same weight since I started this weight loss but my measurements have changed and I don’t look so pudgy. I wanted to give up cause the weight on the scale really wasnt moving at all. THIS was what I needed. ^^
- but now it’s time to get back up on it!
I was finally let go from the job I’d been on long term contract for over a year with back in August. I had been doing well with my diet and exercise up until then, but being told my application for a permanent position was rejected, and then being left with no prospects really took it out of me. I had to devote all my time and money to finding another job, and hoping and praying that I wouldn’t literally run out of money before I could find one.
So no diet.
But I found a job, thank god, at the end of October. I’m back in retail, which I’m not terribly thrilled about, but I’m also starting the process for applying to a few grad school programs. I feel like this could be a good turning point in my life, an uphill swing if I let it be. And I am going to try ever so hard to let it be one.
So, posts might still be sporadic and spotty for a while, but I’ll try and at least start my weekly check ins again, with bi weekly pictures.

As a kid and during my zero money college period, I turned to Pop-tarts a lot. There are 400 calories in a single packet. 400 calories is okay for breakfast but these calories were coming from fat, carbs and sugar. They contain little protein, fiber or other important nutrients. I decided to…
